Two starting points
The businesses I work with usually start from one of two places. The question is different, but the need is the same: clear direction before committing more time, money or people.
Without a marketing function
What marketing strategy, capability and investment do we need to achieve our growth ambitions?
You've grown through referrals and relationships, and you know the next stage needs a more deliberate approach. Before you recruit, appoint an agency or spend more, you want to know what the business actually needs.
With a marketing function
Is our current marketing strategy, capability and investment right for where the business is going next?
You have people, agencies and activity in place, but it's hard to see how the work connects to your business objectives. You want an independent, senior view before changing course or increasing budget.
In both cases there's often a decision pressing: a new market, a new hire, a new website, a change of agency. Sometimes the right answer isn't to act straight away. It's to step back and understand what the business needs first.
